Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I did some keyword searches and didn't find anything on this. Basically my DNS-323 came pre-loaded with 1.04. I'm trying to downgrade to 1.02b however the firmware update page keeps rejecting the update as being invalid. I did in fact manage to downgrade the unit to 1.03 but my goal is 1.02b. Does anyone know how to get this thing downgraded?
I'm not transferring the firmware files anywhere using "ASCII mode". The zip archive is extracted on a windows server 2003 machine and uploaded using IE. I considered using Firefox but can't imagine how the 1.03 downgrade would succeed and the others fail if the problem is the browser?
Finally, is there a reliable way to update the firmware from inside a fun_plug telnet session?

I have customized modules that work with the earlier kernel in the 1.02b firmware and the performance of my replacement OS in conjunction with firmware 1.02b has been stable for years. Firmware 1.04 stuffs more crap on the ramdisk leaving me no room to insert my own things and the copy of fsck I have no longer works right when on 1.04. The entire list of problems is too lengthy to type. It would be easier for me to just downgrade to 1.02b and make everything the same as the other units that are working perfectly for me.
I have heard several members state they had downgraded to 1.02b but never an explanation for how this was done. Anybody?
