Lost Telnet and Transmission

Hi,

I have a DNS-323, and had a drive in volume_1 (mnt/HD_2) I installed funpkg and transmission. All was ok.

then, I got another HD and installed it in volume_2 just as a second hard disk, didn't enable raid 0 or 1 or anything. so the first hard drive which was in volume_1 is still there.

when I formatted the new HD, it asked me to restart. now after I Restarted I cannot telnet or connect to transmission as if the device was never hacked to ffp.

any help on what I can do now?? Did the new hard driveI Added somehow affected the loading of fFP?

Thanks for any help.

I can reinstall ffp but don't want to lose my transmission torrents and configs.

Yup. The first one was in the left-hand bay.

Re: Lost Telnet and Transmission

I will try option 2:

"Remove second disk and move first disk to right bay. Boot with only one disk and install ffp. Power off and re-add second disk to left bay. (Confirmed on a DNS-321. Works as described.)"

cause I don't want to lose my Transmissions settings and resume files.

THanks.

Re: Lost Telnet and Transmission

It worked. switcheg hard drives worked. Thanks smile

My only issue now is finding out how to save crontab settings.

I usually enter by crontab -e
then I use vi to edit them, but if I Reboot, settings are rest.

thanks.
