Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I just installed the new firmware from D-Link 1.07, rebooted, everything was working fine, did a backup of my 323, created a file "CfgBackup". I wanted to make sure the file was ok, so I loaded it back in. Now my device wont reboot, the big sqaure LED keeps blinking. I have no access to the device. Tried pinging the IP and no respose. Is there a way to reflash or am I SOL?? BTW the 2 hard drive LED and Network LED are Blue and steady (not flashing).
Thanks

Thanks, I did find that, and tried it with no success. I thought there would be a way to reflash the device without the web interface.

Hi,
I think there is (using a serial cable and a terminal software with Kermit support): http://www.cyrius.com/debian/orion/d-li … overy.html
I am in a similar situation. Apparently I bricked my DNS 323 today by trying to update the firmware. (Power LED keeps flashing but no access to the device).
What I need to try going down the above mentioned road are the Kernel and Ramdisk files. I do not have access to linux systems so I cannot generate those myself from a firmware image.
I asked for that in the "DNS 323 custom firmware" forum already because I think that is the place for people who do that on a daily basis ;-)
If anybody here could help with these files, I would appreciate it.
Version 1.04 seems to work ok for that purpose.
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Thomas
