Can't start SSH

Hi,

I have applied CHMOD 777 to the directory /mnt/HD_a2/
I have read that will impact the normal functioning of SSH. I get the following error:

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
@         WARNING: UNPROTECTED PRIVATE KEY FILE!          @
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Permissions 0622 for '/ffp/etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key' are too open.
It is recommended that your private key files are NOT accessible by others.
This private key will be ignored.
bad permissions: ignore key: /ffp/etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key
Could not load host key: /ffp/etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key

To compensate, I have tried to do the following in /ffp/etc/ssh/:

chmod 600 /var/run/sshd
chmod 600 /etc/ssh/ssh_host_*

No results.
What can I do to fix this and get SSH running?? I am running fun-plug 0.5

Tnx.

Wrong PATHs. Why did you 0777 all of /mnt/HD_a2, that breaks a lot more in ffp.

Re: Can't start SSH

I meant that i tried chmod 600 on the following paths (with no results):

chmod 600 /ffp/etc/ssh/sshd
chmod 600 /ffp/etc/ssh/ssh_host_*

Will uninstalling/reinstalling the fun-plug resolve anything?

Re: Can't start SSH

Look at the dmesg output again, there is another error after that, one of the libraries have incorrect permission too.

Re: Can't start SSH

Will uninstalling/reinstalling the fun-plug resolve anything? I seem to have lost mapping network drive capability now using Windows Vista and can't get access to my DNS but telnet is still working. This really sucks. Thanks Microsoft for such a wonderful OS.

I am in the process of buying a 2nd hard drive. I suppose I can format the 1st drive and start from the beginning.
