My AC Adaptor has failed (ie. it no longer deliveres 12v, instead the LED pulsates, and the voltage changes along with it!) - as a result, my DNS-323 won't power on. This is after about a month of no problems.
Anyone had any similar problems?

I'm still debating whether to buy the DNS-323.
Can anyone tell me if the AC adaptor is universal voltage (100-240 V)?

The AC adaptor delivered with my unit was a Jantec JTA0512, 100-240VAC/1.2A and contained two power cords. One accoring to EU standards and one UK variant. The unit was bought in Sweden./Apan

Mine uses a "Jentec Technology Co, Ltd" AC adaptor -- no problems - works perfectly.
Model: JTA0512
AC Input: 100-240Vac/1.2A
50-60Hz
DC Output: +5V/3A, +12V/3A
I bought mine in the US at newegg.

I just wondered if anyone has found a DNS-323 mains adaptor in Great Britain? I have done a couple of searches on this site, without success.
Last week due to high winds we had a power cut. My DS-323s all shut down.
When I restarted them, one did not restart. It is a 240 volt system. So I looked at the mains adaptor fuse - a 3 amp job - it was blown. Looked over the leads and ''black box / adaptor'', replaced the fuse.
Plugged in, switched on. There was a quiet electrical click type sound inside, near where the green LED sits, and that was it - dead. Fuse is ok but it looks as though something blew inside this time.
Changed the mains adaptor to one from a different DNS-323 and the DNS works fine. I'm out of warranty period. Now I have a nice black brick though . . .
Tried the ploy mentioned above - searched dlink. Can't find anything.
I googled jentec jta0512 buy
But got seven results. No help - one was the Jentec Technology Co Ltd website. It does not recognise its own product - jta0512.
Unless anyone can help, next stop is to contact dlink.

getting a universal 5V/3A 12V/3A power adapter and soldering the plug (if it doesnt fit anyways) onto the cord shouldnt be a big deal i think.
edit: i just looked around the house i have one from an old external HDD even the plug fits, but it's just 2A. maybe you can get one by asking around for external hdd power adapter.

Looked at the d-link site. Not at all useful. Seems to redirect you to companies that sell dlink kit but don’t supply power adaptors.

Meanwhile, tried to find a replacement power supply - 12v/3a + 5v/3a.
Found one (as Oxy suggested above) that probably needs to have its plug cut off and the DNS one soldered on. It is around twenty eight pounds Sterling which seems a bit steep against the cost of a complete new unit.
Following the above, I too have found a 12v/2a + 5v/2a power adaptor ''laying about''.
Has anyone used a 12v/2a + 5v/2a supply or done this?
Concerned about burning it out or not driving both hard discs on the 323.
I suppose it is worth a try before shelling out for a substitute that will still likely need modifying.
