Upgrading hard drives

Hi all,

I just bought 2 1TB drive to replace my 500G.

They are setup as 2 singles drives, with an overnight backup/drive switch.

I want to make the upgrade without risking to lose my data.  I may have seen a post
about that a little while ago but I can find it.

If there is none, can someone guide me a little bit to do this please?

I thougt about doing it this way:

- Put new drive in the second bay (drive B)
- Format it,
- Copy data from drive A to B
- Switch new drive from B to A
- Put other drive in B, format
- Copy data from A

Does that sounds right?

Thanks

sounds right.
but if you are unsure, just pull both drives out, put new one's in, format, and restore data via usb or network.

Re: Upgrading hard drives

Thanks,

at least, since they both have the exact same data, I can always risk 1 of them...
