Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Issue loading fun_plug on DNS-323

I bought a DNS-323 with a Seagate Barracuda 1tb SATA drive.  Instructions from fun_plug are to ftp the fun_plug.sh and fun_plug.tgz onto the Volume_1 directory.  After ftp'ing the files over to the Volume_1 directory I then did a restart of the DNS-323 server.  The files were not unpackaged and i cannot get telnet to work.  It appears nothing happened.

Has anyone run into the same issues?

I'm running DNS-323 firmware 1.04.  I'm using my macbook to connect to the DNS by going to "Connect to server" in Finder (just to read the drive etc.. but not to drop files).  I also have an Ubuntu VM with a SATA to usb chord so that i can read the SATA drive.  I've also tried moving the files there using this method instead of ftp but still no luck.

I'm new to DNS-323 and messing with fun_plug so any help would greatly be appreciated.  My goal really is to get TimeMachine to work with DNS-323 over the network and read that installing fun_plug is needed.

Thanks
Sal

It's "fun_plug", not "fun_plug.sh"
