hello,
i want to buy a DNS323 to provide a video surveillance solution with multiple ip cameras.
is it possible ?
i have seen "zoneminder" software, is possible to install this software ?
is there other solution / software ?
thanks

Forget about zoneminder, DNS-323 processing power is way below the requirements. I have two webcams installed and connected to ZM on a quad core server @2.66GHz and the video feed data crunching consumes approximately 25-35% of the CPU.

do you think that is another solution ?
synology for exemple offer a solution...

Using Linksys WVC210 you can leave video processing to the Webcam and use the DNS-323 as an ftp picture storage server?

Well - if that counts as a "video surveillance system" then let's not forget that D-Link have their own range of ip cameras, several of which support motion detection and can store images either via ftp or in some cases write to any network share.
