Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi,
I'm very new to this.
First of all, I tried to use NFS to stream some HD content on DNS323 hard drive and I was told it should be faster than Samba ?
I have firmware 1.05 and fun_plug version 0.3 installed on DNS323. Started unfs procedure and it created default export directory, etc., and process is running fine. However, when I try to do "map drive" on a windows XP PC with NFS for Unix 3.5 client installed, unfs process got killed.
I also launched a DOS window on PC and do "rpcinfo -p DNS-IP". I can verify that nfs is running fine. But once I try to map the drive, I can no longer see nfs running.
Wonder what I did wrong here ?
Checked the unfs.log and this is what I see:
UNFS3 unfsd 0.9.17 (C) 2006, Pascal Schmidt <unfs3-server@ewetel.net>
/: ip 192.168.2.0 mask 255.255.255.0 options 5
/mnt/HD_a2: ip 192.168.2.0 mask 255.255.255.0 options 5
/mnt/HD_b2: ip 192.168.2.0 mask 255.255.255.0 options 5
euid/egid switching failed, aborting
/mnt/HD_a2/fun_plug.d/log #
Thanks very much for your help.

Appears to be related to user mapping between windows and Unix. Tried to do the mapping. now unfsd daemon no longer got killed when I launch map drive, but when double click the mapped drive, windows explorer locked and I have to reboot the PC. Nothing recorded in the unfsd.log
