Dear all,
As last time you were really reactive with the new HPLIP version I would like to ask a new favor.
I would like to install unison on my DNS 323. I found that the version that I need was already compile with ipkg here: http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/unslung/native . I didn't test it directly because I don't know for which architecture it was compile etc.
Would it be possible to cross compile it for the DNS 323 ?
Thanks in advance,
Best,
Jrevi

Ok for those who are interested in it, I finally managed to create an optware version of Unison for the DNS323.
Here are 2 links to the ipk file:
http://rapidshare.com/files/315265128/u … m.ipk.html
http://www.filedropper.com/unison22757-2arm

2nd web site just points to filedropper.com
I will be installing the unison ipkg package in the near future. The architecture should be correct as the nslu2 (Intel IXP420 (StrongARM) ) is I believe a very quite similar chip as the dns-323 (Marvell 88F5181)
Unision works so slick on ext2 and ext3. The DNS-323 is ext2. I always have to fiddle with permissions for fat32. So you might have to write
owner=false
perms=0
at the end of your *.prf in your .unison directory if the exterior hdd or usb stick is vfat. google to find out permissions for ntfs

Hi Mark,
The first link point to rapidshare and the second to filedropper....
Concerning the permissions, yes if you mount the Samba directories on your local machine to do the synchronization, but in this case, you don't need Unison on the DNS323. Having Unison on the NAS is interresting if you connect the NAS using SSH.
