I have a few hard drives I am going to sell, but need to do a complete wipe before I do...can anyone recommend a good (hopefully free?) disk wiper that will run on my Windoze PC?

It's a windows version of the infamous dd tool. You can use it to write zeroes or random data to your drives. See
