Hello,
I am trying to install mediatomb on my DNS 323 with fun plug. I have followed this link: http://dns323.kood.org/howto:ffp
and this link: http://www.aduf.org/viewtopic.php?t=199946 (lastest post)
After my first installation, I have no problem: I can see mediatomb and movies that I have copy and the directory /mnt/HD_a2/home/media
But I don't no why, I have decided to delete mediatomb and fun plug.
After a second installation, I am see still mediatomb. But on this second installation I don't have create the /home/media directory, so mediatomb don't have a default directory with medias.
On my TV I still have mediatomb and the movies I had copied the last time.
Question: I think mediatomb (or funplug) have a database installed in a folder of the DNS323 firmware. How can I delete properly fun plug and mediatomb without forgotten data on the DNS323 firmware?
I have tried to flash the firmware 1.06 and then the firmware 1.07 but I still have the problem.
Have you a solution?

I think I did something similar. I didn't remove or reinstall Mediatomb, but I changed my mind about some media file locations and I may have done something wrong to get it into a bad state.
In any case, I found the database in ffp/var/mediatomb. You might try stopping MediaTomb and then moving, removing, or renaming the three mediatomb.* files. Then restart MediaTomb and let it rebuild the database.
For me, that cleared up "missing" files on my PS3.

Thanks for the information. I will try this evening. But I am not sur that will be OK, because I have tried to delete the "ffp" folder. After that I still had the problem...

I tried to delete files on /ffp/var/mediatomb folder and that's correct the problem.
But now how can I define a default folder with my movies and configure mediatomb to perform an autoscan of the folder?

On my system, there is a file ffp/start/mediatomb.sh. Set the media_dir value to the folder you want. That will set the autoscan folder.

It works very well! Two last questions:
- Can I use subtitles with mediatomb (a .srt file)?
- Can I add a second folder to auto scan?

Hi Raoulleponey.
1. Sure you can do sub-titles. It depends on the client, though, not MediaTomb.
2. Absolutely. I have at least 10.

Mediatomb does not perform an auto scan of my folder. Or just in one way. When I delete a file it doesn't disapear on Mediatomb database...

I could not see a way to remove files from the database either after removing them from the filesystem. I ended up deleting the database as I described before and rebuilding.
