Guys.. I guess for the twonky 5.0 + releases the pink led problem was solved, thanks to the individuals who contributed the solution. But I guess there is still one issue with the Twonky 5.0+ versions (I am using 5.1.2 on my dns 323 with fonz 0.5).
My hard drive never goes into hibernation mode... and I see online that quite a few people have the same issue..
Has anyone found a solution for this? I know going back to 4.4.18 is always there.. but I like the video tree on version 5.0 versions where under playlist there are options to see "recently added", "recently played" etc.. which I don't believe I can have with twonky 4.4.18.

I gave up on 5 after reading many posts and never getting it to hibernate. I'm running Twonky 4.4.18, just seems more stable. The 5.0 DNS-323 build has a "beta" feel to it.

I tried everything to get it to hibernate... I just don't understand why it keeps the disks spinning..
we need someone like fonz to figure this out for us.

is there anyway in 4.4.18 to view "recently played" videos? that is the only feature why I am struggling with 5.0...

seems like it is constantly seeking something.. but why and how to disable that?? I have scanning set to 0.

There is no real chance to get the hdd spindown longer then a few minutes as long as there are open file handles. This will be always be the case if apps are running of the hdd, that's not specific to twonky.
You need to run ffp of a usb thumbdrive or sth like that.

ffp off a usb drive..hmm.... sounds good.. I am using the usb for the printer.. so I'll have to figure something else out.. any help of course is appreciated. Thank you.

oxygen.. you specifically talking in reference to Twonky 5 right? because otherwise I have no problems getting the hdd to spin down.

twonky 5 is the only thing preventing the hdd spin.. like I said.. otherwise I have no problems with no twonky or twonky 4 versions to get the hdd to spin down. Moving fun_plug to the usb, I am not sure, will solve this with twonky I believe.. because the database for twonky is still in the hdd. It's definitely got something to do with how the new twonky 5s are programmed.
