Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Can't access share - network password is wrong

Hello everybody,

first sorry about my english.

Since today I have a DNS-323. I put 2 disks in it and configured them as JBOD. The webinterface is working, the volume was recognized.
Now I created 3 users (no groups) and also I created the user's dirs and granted read/write access.
After that I installed the funplug 0.5, logged in with telnet, started sshd and deactivated telnet. And I did the workaround with pwconv, passwd and so on.

But I can't access the shares I created with the correct user. In Windows XP I use the same user name and pw like I do for the share.

I looked into /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow and the granted rights for the share.
The owner is "nobody" (not the user I choosed) and the group is nobody's group too. Is that correct? Or what went wrong?
I deleted the share in the webinterface and created it again - same problem!
Should I try to chown to the correct user?

Kind regards
Andreas

EDIT:
OK, one problem is solved: I got access to my share.
As I created the user I took a different passwd as on Windows. I changed it with passwd <user> and tried to access it. But Samba didn't know the changes. With smbpasswd <user> I changed it too and now it works.

But please, can someone still explain me the owner of the dirs (nobody). Is that correct?
