Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi all,
I just bought a 323 and installed this as a RAID1 device.
I will use this only for my backup. Therefore this device should not be powered up all the time.
I know, how this device should be switched off. But my question is: What happens, if I will only switch off the power??? Yes, this can be dangerous when writing a file. But if this occurs after the write access is finished, what happen then? Is this allowed?? I cant find anything about this in the documentation.
Best regards

While reading more and more in this very interesting forum, I thought that it should be possible, to use the UPS input.
I read that this is only a USB input.
Had someone a idea, if a digital input can also be used??
It is not a problem for me to find out, if any of my computers is switched on. As long at least one computer is switched on, after this the 323 can be switched off.
I read the hardware hint, how a 323 can be restarted when the power is back – this I can use. Only the opposite way without a expensive UPS is missing.
Any idea???
Best regards

It's possible through the webinterface. You could install funplug and write a script.
But start with a search here on the forum because not so long ago there was someone with a simular question.
