DNS 722-4/726-4 Network Video Recorder

Has anyone any experience with these units?

Looking the manual for the 726-4 I have a sneaking suspicion that it is a DNS-323 with different firmware - and I'd much rather flash my DNS-323 than shell out the bucks.
