VLC for DNS-323

Hello... it seems VLC 0.9 (at http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optwa … -1_arm.ipk) doesn't work in DNS-323 FW 1.07

It doesn't matter how you try to start it, it always shows:

========================
VLC media player 0.9.4 Grishenko
Illegal instruction
========================

Searching the forum, I found this related post: http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3208 where another compilation is shared.

My questions are:

- Is VLC compilation at Optware for DNS-323 working to anybody?

- Are you aware of any toher compilation more recent than Optware for DNS-232 and the one commented in the other post? It seems current version is 1.0.3

Thanks in advance,

     Chemi.

Re: VLC for DNS-323

vlc on DNS-323? Maybe to store it as a file but since there is no graphical interface (x-windows) included how exactly do you plan to use it to control the box?

Re: VLC for DNS-323

VLC can be also used as a streaming server with no UI controlled by telnet, web, etc...

Re: VLC for DNS-323

Would the streaming work on a Pentium III/400 MHz machine? Because this is as much raw power you can get from the DNS-323 CPU.
