Curious to see if anyone has used the Xtreamer or WDTV Live Media players. My XBox360 and Samsung BD player don't handle mkv or iso files well (or at all) and was looking for another solution. Just wanted to see if anyone is using one of the newer media players and if they're compatible with the DNS-323.
Here's a link to where I found them if anyone's curious:

yes, I have used wdtv live with dns 323.. no problems streaming mkv files, high def files etc..
in fact, I used my wdtv live with a usb wireless N adapter.. and it worked great..
even though I returned it and bought a mac mini instead..
the dns 323 is merely a storage nas.. .. you can play the media files on dns 323 thru the wdtv live either by using it as a streaming device (twonky, or it's built in streaming software).. and/or you can simply browse the smb shares of dns 323 and play it directly from there.

I have the WDTV live - no problem with DNS323 - since DNS323 FW 1.07 also the built in UPNP is detected and working with the WDTV live.
So far no tests done with HD-files.

Also WDTV live with DNS-323. Working great. Watched HD formats, mkv and ISO-s as well. No problems at all, everything plays smooth. Great device.

Just thought I'd update my situation real quick. Just purchased Xtreamer (picked this one over WDTV live since it seems to have pretty good support with multiple firmware updates already). Just one thing though with this one, you need to purchase a 2.5" SATA hdd separately for some of the functions to work (.iso, mkv's were the only ones I noticed missing) Seems like it works pretty good although their forums seem to say that it has problems with .iso files written by UltraISO though. They've promised a firmware update (there's been 8 so far by my count) that might fix it and introduce a movie jukebox.
