Python modules - installed by default or do I need to install them?
I'd like to run a Python script with cron on my DNS. Trouble is, the scripts needs the Universal Feed Parser module in order to work.
I do not know Python and installed the fun_plug a while back. I'd rather not mess with it if it doesn't work.
Could someone please let me know?
1 DNS-323, HW B1, 2 x 2TB WD Black (WD2001FASS), fw 1.09, fun_plug 0.5
1 DNS-321, HW A2, 2 x 1TB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 (currently failed)

Download the package at http://code.google.com/p/feedparser/downloads/list
Extract it on the NAS.
CD to the extracted directory
python setup.py install
Done

awesome! you couldn't make it any simpler!
i'll be looking to see if all this stuff can somehow be installed on removable usb storage, so that i don't wake up the disks when the script is running.
either way, i'll be installing it tonight!
