DSM-G600, DNS-3xx and NSA-220 Hack Forum

First post! Great group.

I really do not know Linux. I have installed fun_plug 0.5 successfully. I have also been able to set up the DNS323 to access it in SFTP mode with passkeys using Putty and using WinSCP. So far I tried only on the LAN.

So I have a .ssh directory set up wth a file named authorized_keys2.

The problem is that the directory and the file get deleted after a DNS shut down and restart. I tried twice, same results. Works till a shutdown and restart. Is that normal?

I did
# Cd to home directory (i.e. "cd ~")
# Create the sub-directory .ssh if it does not already exist (i.e. "mkdir .ssh")
# Cd into this directory (i.e. "cd ./.ssh")
# Create the file "authorized_keys" if it does not already exist (i.e. "touch ./authorized_keys2")
# Make sure the file has the right permissions (i.e. "chmod 600 ./authorized_keys2")
# Open the file in your favorite editor (i.e. "vi ./authorized_keys2")

I am getting better with Linux though after all that search on Linux commands etc. I love the DNS323. With two WD15EADS.
