RSYNC issue on FAT32 filesystem

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a backup on an external USB HD (with FAT32 format).
for that, I'm using Rsync.
but when I perform again the backup, some files on destination are deleted then they are copied.
although, these files are the same between source and destination.

I've tried different option of rsync but nothink in working.
this is my last try :

rsync -rultv --size-only --delete --modify-window=10 /source /destination/

Could you help me, please

many thanks in advance for your help.

Re: RSYNC issue on FAT32 filesystem

--size-only      Good.

The delete and then recopied    is it dependent on a difference between capital and small letters?

I have an account that is linux based for rsync backups with a Chicago firm.  If I move things around between folders, under rsync things get deleted and then then totally recopied.  Example /Pictures/photos    to /Pictures   6 gb was deleted and then 6gb was uploaded.    peace mark
