anyone thinking of workin on a torrent tracker, maybe xbtt, wonder if i can get it running via Debian or Gentoo running via emerge bittorrent, maybe someones working on a binary or something

Most of them need mysql, but you may find some that use just flat-file database and php. And I believe that there are some CGI based also

Tried Torrent Trader Lite, i got it running on the website, made a torrent uploaded it , tried to seed and cant connect to the tracker, im thinkin maybe if can get python running on the dsm600 , then can use the py version from bittorrent.com as a tracker, any idea, suggestions, etc.
edit- maybe can emerge from gentoo >?

Torrent Trade Lite should definitely work, you probably did something wrong.
You can also try SBT, which is just very basic tracker (php is also needed)

SBT works great, thanks, ill check back with the TTL see what i did wrong :X lol
edit: still cant get TTL to do ne tihng i checked out http://www.openlitebt.com/downloads/ theres some more phponly trackers there too
