Php cli questions

I have just installed the funplug php package and while tring the interactive mode (php -a), a shell wont appear. Searching, I have found that from version 5.1, the interactive mode is available if the binaty is compiled with --with-readline.

Searching at the fun-plug changelog (http://www.inreto.de/dns323/fun-plug/0.5/ChangeLog.txt) haven´t found any clue about if that option has been included whilst compiling, so that brings two questions:

How can I see what were the in-compile-time flags?
Just in case said flag wasn´t used, could you Fonz include it in a future upgrade, so the cli would be fully complete?

Re: Php cli questions

I haven't used --with-readline. And it seems, none of the other available packages have used this option. If you really want this, your best chance is to compile your own php.
