Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I think my DNS 323 has jumped from 2x mirrored HDs to Raid 1. A while back I was trying to change something on the config file, this caused the web page to stop appearing. So recently I reset the device by holding down the reset button on the back on the unit. This process seemed to take longer than I anticipated and I was concerned that the HDs were actually being formatted.
Once this process finished, I immediately went to check the contents via Samba, and found that my backup folder was missing. I had read that sometimes this is a common issue, and I assumed this was possible because I did not unmount a folder that is present the backup directory.
However when looking at the web page, it says the volume type is Raid 1 rather than the two drives copying each other as I expected. Also when l connect via Telnet and browse around, under the mnt directory, there is a folder HD_a2 which has everything I would expect to be there. There are also HD_a4 & HD_b4 both contain a folder called backup - but containing nothing.
Does anyone have any idea what the hell has happened and what can be done to fix it?

Nobody has any idea?
Well I have read somewhere about moving from Raid1 to dual HDs without formatting, is that worth trying?
I might even trying heading for DLink support, although that to me seems like a waste of time.
Still hoping and praying that my missing folder has not been corrupted

Raid 1 is mirroring, so what did you have before? Did you use fun_plug to rsync?

Ah ok, I did not realise Raid 1 meant 1:1 copying of the HDs. This is what I always setup so nothing has changed after the reset.
I do however have a directory that has disappeared after the reset. I can only see the name of the directory using Telnet on HD_a4 & HD_b4, but there appears to be no content.
