How to start and stop ftp daemon from a telent session?
I am helping someone out with their DSM-G600, and have a quick question, please can you advise how I can start and stop the ftp server without using the web interface.

DNS-323, HW B1, 2 x 2TB WD green, fw 1.08, fun_plug 0.5, transmission, automatic, nzbget newsreader & rsync time machine backup.

look for process name with ps and then kill it and start with same command you see from ps output.

thanks, tried that but no joy. also tried installing pureftp but there are no instructions.
