I just purchased a DNS-323 nas and am a bit disappointed that it can't create multiple partitions.
The main reason that I require this as Im setting up I/P surveilance cameras that record directly to a volume on a nas. These cameras record until volume is full and then over-write in a FIFO way.
I understand without homebrew software I can only set up a maximum of 2 partitions with RAID1 and JAOD.
The question that remains is. Can anyone assist with setting up the DNS-323 with multiple partitions.

Are you aware that D-Link offers the DNS-726 - a NAS specifically geared towards surveillance use?
