Hi Guys,
seems like no one is experimenting with these two software's as I couldn't find any posts. I followed instructions posted here:
hxxp://en.linuxreviews.org/HOWTO_use_the_Internet_anonymously_using_Tor_and_Privoxy
I installed both Tor and Privoxy and configured the config files, I was able to run privoxy from command line by typing "privoxy", but when I type "Tor" I get this error message:
root@DNS323:/opt/etc/tor# tor tor: can't load library 'librt.so.0'
When I search for the library file 'librt.so.0', it is located in various directories, can someone help me fixing this problem?
root@DNS323:/opt/etc/tor# find / -name librt* /mnt/HD_a2/ffp/lib/librt-0.9.29.so /mnt/HD_a2/ffp/lib/librt.so.0 /mnt/HD_a2/ffp/lib/librt.so /mnt/HD_a2/usb_drive/backups/ffp/lib/librt.so /mnt/HD_a2/usb_drive/backups/ffp/lib/librt.so.0 /mnt/HD_a2/usb_drive/backups/ffp/lib/librt-0.9.29.so root@DNS323:/opt/etc/tor#
Also apart from this, do I have to do anything special to start both Tor and Privoxy on startup?
Thanks.

I'd very much like to run it myself; OTOH, TOR can be quite demanding in terms of processing power.
The reason why I haven't experimented much is that I had a rather tough time getting it to work in Ubuntu, so I figured DNS323 is out of the question. But I'm very interested to know, in case you get it to work, if the LAN performance of the unit is impacted by the TOR use. Also, wouldn't TOR prevent it from going to sleep?
I've been thinking about using an old computer as a dedicated TOR node, but didn't get around to do it yet.

I have tor & privoxy running on my ch3snas, got the same problem with the librt.
Solved it by copying the librt* files from /ffp/lib over to /opt/lib. Don't know if it was the best thing to do, but it worked.

Thanks i am able to run after copying 'librt.so.0' file from /ffp/lib to /opt/lib.

another problem
After running TOR, my windows share's becomes unavailable, I rebooted my DNS-323 and I was able to access my shares again.
I then again started privoxy and tor service and my windows share's were gone, I troubleshooted and realized that tor is killing my smb service, I killed both TOR and PRIVOXY and restarted samba using "smb restart", I was able to access my shared drive's again.
Then I repeated the process, started tor and privoxy again, this time I tried starting SMB service but it wont show in the "ps", I then killed tor and privoxy again and tried to start the smb service, this time it wont start and the only option to fix it is to restart my dns-323 box.
Any ideas?

Just a question, where did you get the binaries for Tor and Privoxy for the DNS-323 ?
Thanks !
