Issue with printer connected on DNS323

I own 3 DNS323 which run perfectly (last firmware installed)
I have 2 computers with different OS : one with WP Pro and the second with Windows 7.
I order to share my printer (BROTHER 2035), I connected :my printer to one of my 3 DNS 323.
No problem at all for connecting the printer ; it is identified in the printer list of each computer : \\192.168.1.x\lp.
Last printer driver is installed on each computer.
After installation on both computers I tested the configuration : printer parameters accessible, test page correctly printed : everything OK !

BUT...when I want to print any document, the printer reacts promptly, print the first page...and thats's all. The printer ready led is flashing, but ohers pages are never printed.
I read some messsages linked with spooler problem but i dont understand really the issue. I didn't find in the DNS323 disk directory anything that i can supose to be the spooler (is it an hidden directory ?)

Do you know this problem and how to fix it ?

Thank you for your support

Re: Issue with printer connected on DNS323

The spooler is a hidden directory - try going to into the print driver properties and disabling bidirectional printer support and see what happens.

I didn't find how to disable the bidirectional printer support inside the driver properties.
With a lot of tries, I don't know why, but it seems to work with the W7 PC ; not sucesssful with XP PC (with same parameter !).

I suppose i succeded because in the printer parameter  i choose "Start printing after all the pages are stored in the spooler" ; it is any relationship between the issue i am facing and this parameter ?

Re: Issue with printer connected on DNS323

Not really, but in this case I suspect it does the same thing.

Bidirectional support allows the printer to send status information back to the host, and in your case, I suspect that the host is waiting for some sort of "page complete" status before sending the second page and never receives it, start printing after all the pages are stored in the spooler, would force it to send all the pages without waiting for such a status message.

If you can get it to work with Win7, I see no reason why it shouldn't work with XP also, so keep on fiddling.
