Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi there
I've been hunting around the forums and looking at various commands but haven't found the answer to my query.
Is it possible without having FFP installed to send a simple email from the command like of fun_plug on the DNS 323? I know it must be possible because the box can be setup to send email alters.
What I've discovered is the command that does this is called "email" and can be used in the following way. Unfortunately there's no documention about what "mode" might be etc.
email v1.05.09052007
usage: email -m mode [-s Saddr] [-d Daddr] [-h HostServer] [-p port]
[-a auth] [-u uname] [-w passwd] [-i interval] [-t test]
[-g degrade (1 :Volume_1) (2 :Volume_2) (4 :Volume_3) (8 :Volume_4)]
[-b rebuilt (0 :Volume_1) (1 :Volume_2) (2 :Volume_3) (3 :Volume_4)]
[-x smart test result (1 :0k) (2 :abort) (3 :fail) ]
[-y smart test hd (a :sda) (b :sdb) (c :sdc) (d :sdd)]
[-c BT download file name]
I know that the box has msmpt and mutt available. So how might I be able to use these to send a simple email? I don't want to install FFP nor mess around with config files. I'd just like to be able to call a command and send an email if this is possible...
Thanks
Jamie
