Hi, new to these forums, but owned a DNS-323 for a couple of years now and really satisfied with it. Just thought I'd make some more use of it, like a dedicated bittorrent box etc. I am reasonably experienced with Linux.
So I wonder about the following:
- Will installing Debian as detailed in the wiki (http://dns323.kood.org/howto:chroot_debian) in any way risk my data installed on the drives?
- Will I still have WebUI access after installing it?
I hope the answers will be positive ![]()

You always risk your data when doing *anything* unnecessary with the disks. But generally spoken this is harmless.
Just remember, having a command prompt (either FFP or Debian) gives great power, and with great power you can easily kill your data.

Yes.
