When using my PS3 with my DNS-323 my PS3 get the above erro i ht subject line.
When accessing file with my PC the windows explorer simply loses access (and moves on th to the next "drive" in the "My Computer" tree.
When I try doing a UPnP AV server refresh I get "Alert http://192.168.1.101 There was a problem with the request".
One symptom is the right HD drive indicator light flashes/is flashing like it is busy.
If I leave it alone the files become available again and then fails again (in a cycle)....HELP!

same problem here and i also get stuck at 92% when i refresh the server files.

Try sharing a folder instead of root. I think that's what fixed it for me.
