Managed to run transmission on DNS-313, but I seem to have problems if I try to download more than 2 torrents at the same time. Not sure why.

Which version of Transmission you are using? I didn't have any problem downloading 3 torrent at the same time. I'm using Transmission v.1.42.
I was using the web to add torrents.

How big is the file you are trying to download? It happens when file size exceed 300MB.
I will try to replicate the error again.

I have had too problems downloading big files, Transmission just "freezes" and the webinterface doesn't work and cant telnet to NAS. Maybe this problem could cause because there is only 32MB ram available and 200MHz processor. I won't run Transmission anymore at startup because if there is few big torrents on download the NAS is completed freezed and you won't be able to connect on it.

What happens is that when I am downloading a big file, it will stop halfway. It is still downloading but it gets very, very slow (0.2kbps)
In the transmission-daemon.log there will be a lots of entries like
File I am Downloading: Piece 1942, which was just downloaded, failed its checksum test
File I am Downloading: Piece 1807, which was just downloaded, failed its checksum test
File I am Downloading: Piece 2324, which was just downloaded, failed its checksum test
File I am Downloading: Piece 2097, which was just downloaded, failed its checksum test
Depending on how long I leave it running, it can go to hundreds of such similar entries.
Yes, I don't run transmission as autostart as well. I also prefer to use CLI rather than GUI.

Anyone is using it as a BT Client? I have given up on using the DNS-313 as a BT Client.
My conclusion is that the hardware specs cannot handle it
1 out of 2 download will fail (error halfway).
It will hang. I cannot access a mapped drive at all.
Need to telnet in to kill processes to revive it.

1.50 seems to work better. I have only been running it for a few hours, but the speeds are still decent.

Those of you having checksum errors and are running ntfs as the filesystem for the main partition (as most ones will do) check your filesystem by connection the dns to a windows pc and doing a ntfs verify. The dns 313 drive verification is not reliable in my opinion and the same accounts for the ntfs filesystem. If you are seeing error in the ntfs verification which point to some of the torrent files you are probably suffering from filesystem inconsistencies.
I am running ctorrent in combination with ext2 and never have any issues.

Has anyone got Transmission working well on the DNS-313?
I have a 640GB HDD installed in my NAS and am running the latest version and am having the same problem sigh described.
Torrent downloads fine until around 300MB and from then on the total download MB increases but the % complete and actual amount complete stays around 300. And lot's of data is just wasted from then on.
What is causing his problem? Is there a solution?
Can the main partition be formatted using a linux filesystem that might work better with Transmission?

I've had the same problem running BT and saving it in the NTFS partition. I'm resized the Linux partition mapped to /mnt/HD_A2 and the problem seem to go away

I have the same problem, except file size 300 MB. Transmission hangs. Here I wrote about it - http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5627 Would be any new build for DNS-313? How it can be solved?
