I recently added a Dlink DNS 323 c1 with firmware 1.07. This is actually my first encounter with a NAS so please bear with me.
My hardware consists of the following:
Room 1
Pc, NAS, powerline and router are all connected to a gigaport switch.
Room 2
powerline connected to egreat NMT
If I use the NMT to read mkv files off the PC, I have no problems watching 720p movies.
If I use the NMT to read mkv files off the NAS, I get stuttering after 5 seconds.
Is there anything wrong with my configuration? Or doesn't the DNS 323 have enough power like the Pc to stream?
I even tried connecting the NAS, PC and router all to the gigaport switch and the powerline to the wireless router but am still getting stuttering problems
Please help

I have no experience with NMT, but I can confirm that the NAS' hardware is just limit to stream HD content. I stream from the DNS-323 to a PS3 and it has only become acceptable as the PS3 UPnP support improved (all this on 100Mb/s Ethernet).
Now it is generally fine, but things such as fast forward or scene search are painful.

Got it to work by using NFS nstead of samba

When you guys say NFS, what do you mean? I mean, I know what it stands for, but how do you "replace" samba? Do you have to configure the DNS323 and the clients for this? Is there an option to turn it on, etc?
Thanks
