Getting Data Off of drives

Hi.

We used our D-Link DNS-323 for a while, but we just didn't use it that much in our home. So, we took our two (2) 1-TB drives out and sent the product back.

Hmmm... Maybe we should have waited just a tad before sending the NAS back. Now, it appears the drives won't show up under Windows when I plug a SATA to USB cable in.

Is there a way I can get my data off of these drives, or will I have to order another DNS, plug the drives back in, and *then* get my data off?

Another possibility is to boot your machine with a Linux live cd, such as Ubuntu, Knoppix, etc.
It should work even if you have a raid setup...
YMMV
