Hello,
I have a tricky problem with the ftp server after I upgraded my DNS-323 to the latest fimware 1.08.
After the firmware update I no longer can transfer files to an from my ftp server. The config is described here:
Nas setup:
Port: 21212
Passive mode port range: 30000-30002
Router is setup to forward ftp traffic on port 21212 to Nas and on the passive mode port range above.
No problem before the firmware upgrade.
Have tested with both active mode & and passive mode on the client without success.
Any ideas to solve the problem would be nice to have.
Transfer within the local network with ftp is no problem
Best Regards Anders

Check your ip address settings, make sure you have the default gateway entry correctly set.

Also I have same issue to log in into ftp server of DNS 323, after upgrade to firmware 1.08.
I normally use port 21 and I'd no problem with previous firmware release ...
I'd like to make a factory reset ... but I don't know if there are risk to lose data from raid disks
Thanks for any ideas
Best regards.

A "factory reset" does not affect the data on the disks

However, after a factory reset, the issue is still there!
Any suggestion ?

Troubleshoot as if it were a new installation -
Start by verifying that you can access the ftp server from withing the local network using it's private ip address
Verify the port fowarding in the router
Verify that you are using active ftp when testing from outside the LAN and tell us specifically what happens when you try to access - are there any error messages?
