Apparently there's something which is constantly waking up my dns from hibernation, but I can't say what...there's nothing in transmissions queue (no upload, too), nor am I accessing the NAS myself. Is there a way to check, why the dns got waken up? Is it possible to trace a distant interface in the same network via wireshark?

Start by unplugging the ethernet cable - that will allow you to determine whether it's being awoken by an internal process or access from the network.
If it is coming from the network, then yes, wireshark or another network analyser can be used to determine why - however network analysis presents challenges of it's own, for example the typical home network is built around a firewall/router with a four port switch, and this switch will not allow traffic on one port to be captured on another.

Which version of TwonkyMedia? May be it is TwonkyMedia trying to rescan the media directories (try setting the rescan value to 0).
