Concerned what FFP changes

I've recently installed FFP 0.5 and had it in my head that it's all pretty much self contained in the ffp directory it creates and that to remove it all you need to do is remove the folder. However, one of the steps during installation and first setup is to store a new SSH password in flash memory. What other changes does it make outside of the FFP directory? Do files on the system partitions on the drives get changed to? What would it take to revert back to a factory condition? Reflashing the firmware? Or would that not wipe out files stored in flash memory?

I ask because I want to keep hacks to a minimum and want to understand what perminant changes are being made to it

Thanks in advance

Jamie
