Upgraded to firmware to 1.08 from 1.07 & now can't login in...

I just upgraded.  I cannot get a login prompt:

angel2010@linux-zwnl:/> telnet 192.168.1.200
Trying 192.168.1.200...
Connected to 192.168.1.200.

BusyBox v1.00-pre1 (2009.05.07-06:36+0000) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

Same thing happens with other usernames.  I did have a root account:

angel2010@linux-zwnl:/> ssh -l root 192.168.1.200
root@192.168.1.200's password:
Permission denied, please try again.

but I guess it got blown away when I installed thew new firmware.  How do you get a login prompt on these things again?  I don't remember what I did 1.5 years ago.

angel2010,

You could try http://dns323.kood.org/forum/p19176-Tod … tml#p19176
This enable normal telnet. Should work without password. And log you straight in as root.

OK so it looks like my previous ffp installation was still there and running.  So I NFS mounted on a remote machine

cd HD_a2/ffp/start

and changed this:

#telnetd_flags="-l /ffp/bin/sh"

to

telnetd_flags="-l /ffp/bin/sh"

Rebooted it.  I now got a root login prompt and fixed my passwords....
