My DNS323 has been working fine for quite a long time with v1.08 firmware until a few days ago where the unit would show a blinking power LED, with the network and HDD LEDs off, after running for about a few hours. I've checked that the fan is still running, but i'm unable to ping the unit. If i switch off the unit via the mains and start it again, everything is fine.
Has anyone encountered this before?

Solved the problem by reformatting the drives and reflashing the firmware.

And out of curiosity, were you running fun_plug or any other add-in applications/software?
