Hi, I am on mac OS Leopard (10.5.8). I am running Firmware Version: 1.09 on a dns-323. I have a 900 mb file on the nas that I am trying to copy locally but it's extremely slow i.e. it will take an hour to complete. Thats about 15mb per minute which is 60 times slower than it should be. I've used google to try to find a solution. I have tried what I saw tried.
I tried this: http://dns323.kood.org/howto:mac_osx_users
i successfully restart samba with large readwrite = no to no avail the thing is painfully slow. a NAS that you can't transfer from isnot of much use. I've tried a couple of other options none solved my problem I also tried to do sudo sysctl -w net.inet.tcp.delayed_ack=0 with no luck whatsoever.
Any one can help?
Thanks,
JR

Did you try using ffp?
I'm using netatalk + avahi and I can transfert 1Go in around 10min (OS X 10.6 though).
You can also try samba-3.4.6-1 from contrib packages (http://inreto.de/dns323/fun-plug/0.5/co … .4.6-1.tgz).
