Hi,
Last night, the left disk indicator light illuminated in a pinkish color (I do not know how long it's been that way though). The web interface told me, that the raid 1 is degraded. The logs tell me "2010/08/25, 12:14:02, HDD2 Hard Drive Has Removed.", which is two days ago and which I certainly did not do. Then there is an entry from yesterday "2010/08/26, 20:21:16, HDD2 Hard Drive Has Failed".
I shut down the DNS-323, removed and reinserted both drives (in the same slots as before), then rebooted the whole device. The pinkish color was gone, everything looked normal. The web interface did not prompt me for formatting or rebuilding or anything like that. As it was getting late, I decided to go to bed and ran scan disk. It completed successfully, however, this morning I realized that I cannot access any data on my DNS-323. That means I can access a Volume_1 folder, but it is empty.
The current raid type is set to "Volume_1: Standard", while it used to be a raid 1.
What has happened?
Greetings,
Olli
PS I got firmware version 1.08 running.

I have removed the left drive again - and now can access my files again. I will now do a backup and then redo a raid 1.
