Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I'm looking for a solution like "FEED ON FEEDS , your server side, multi-user RSS and Atom aggregator" http://feedonfeeds.com/#requirements
You might ask why when so many desktop aggregators out there? The answer is explained succinctly at the web link but to summarise the answer, I use multiple PCs and I have to gather hundreds of RSS feeds per day and I can easily get out of sync especially if I'm away from any of the PCs over a couple of hours.
So I was wondering whether it was possible with funplug (or any other projects solution here) installed I could use the DNS 323 to run FEED ON FEEDS or any other such aggregator program?
a complete novice when it comes to this sort of implementation so any help would be much appreciated, as to whether it can or can't be done.
Here are the requirements of FEED ON FEEDS:
#1.Access to a server running PHP 4.3.2 or later with the PCRE and XML extensions available, as well as MySQL.
#2.Support for compressed feeds requires the Zlib extension.
#3.Support for https and digest authenticated feeds requires the cURL extension, at least version 7.10.5.
#4.Support for feeds in international language encodings requires the mbstring and/or iconv extensions. Please see the chart at simplepie.org for which encodings require which extension."
I'm assuming that any other type of aggregator would need similar requirements or is that over complicating it?
I didn't see a request section so I apologise if I've put this in the wrong forum.anyway have explained myself and not wasted your time, thank you.

may be too simple, but a webbased solution like google reader? always in sync since you just 1 location for the feeds.

Sorry about the delay in replying and thank you for your suggestion, I had completely forgot that I had tried Google reader over a year ago and still have an account.
I think it would have been an excellent alternative if not for the one annoying feature about Google's applications, they don't tend to let you delete read RSS feeds or e-mails, so it's very hard to see what you have read when you're used to relying on the delete function.
Anyway I'm trialling Windows Live Mesh folder synchronisation of my feeds folder on different PCs 12 see how that goes.
Once again thank you

As a Bloglines user now on the look out for a hosted feed reading solution (and yes I've tried Google Reader, as well as a bunch of other clients and hosted solutions) I'm wondering about the same issue: could I use my DNS-323 to host a viable feed reader?
For the time being I'll make do with Netvibes (http://www.netvibes.com/), but what I would really like was something like tt-rss (http://tt-rss.org/), which I think I'll go ahead and try to install when I have the time, since I already have lighttpd and mysql running on the NAS (it's a bugger that it doesn't have a ready made install routine, because I'm not really knowledgeable about that mysql schema creation).
Irrsi, being a console client, is not really an option...
