set dns-323 to 5 hours max , but after that can't access

Hello , I haven't used the DNS-323 for sometime, so I factory reset it, put in the latest firmware and set up the ftp server. Once this device goes to power saver mode it CAN NOT be accessed, I have to turn it off.

Anyone seen this problem?   should I go back down to a older FIRMWARE ?

I also gave up on the tls access that was not working, but will try again as I found out that the problem is DYNDNS  somehow it's not working if you use the DYNDNS  name.   my buddy finally used the IP and was able to log in with TLS off.  will try that and report

any and all advice welcomed.

thanks

What type of drives are you using? Maybe they don't support the power down/up.

3 * (DNS-323 with 2 * 2TB) = 12TB Running FW v1.08 & FFP v0.5
Useful Links: Transmission, Transmission Remote, Automatic

Re: set dns-323 to 5 hours max , but after that can't access

It's a older 200gig drive, but I tought these sata drives were new enough to support such things.  I got so fustrated I downloaded WinSSHD  and installed it on my machine so my son can download files as needed.   I'm going to keep reading in here , and see if I need to install the fun package and some script to just keep the harddrive powered up ALL the time.  should be a simple thing once we know where to insert it
