Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

One of the two hard drives in my DNS-321 is no longer visible over SMB from my PCs. It shows up in Windows explorer along with its twin using UNC access e.g. \\DNS321 but I cannot look at the contents and get a "access permissions" error message.
As it happens, it was in the right hand slot hence Volume_1 but, since I had started the other drive on its own in the right hand slot (so that it would be subsequently bootable), I swapped drives. Now Volume_2 is not accessible over SMB.
I also have a DNS-323 and I put the problem drive into it's left hand slot; again, not visible over SMB. It is also not accessible over rsync between the two boxes. I have not tried FTP.
Interestingly, the volume is always accessible locally if I telnet into the NAS.
It looks like it might be a permissions problem of some sort though I did not make any changes that I am aware of. Any ideas as to how to debug this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Is the sharing set up in the firmware?
in Advanced , Network Access, SBM List.
I think you will need to redo the share for swapping disk from left to right.
