Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Cannot login to web interface - NO bittorrent installed anymore

Hello Everybody,

I just bought a DNS-323 three days ago and already have a problem I cannot fix by myself.
In the beginning I could use the web interface just fine and checked my firmware, it is 1.08b9.

Then I installed the bittorrent client from ftp.dlink.com and used it for two days. Still everything as expected.

Since yesterday however when I enter username and password I immediately get an error saying that I cannot connect to the server. SMB and everything works fine, I can also ping the device.

In this forum I found out about the issues with the bittorrent client, so I removed it using a shell script to delete the bittorrent add-on. (I deployed it in the /VOLUME_1 folder). Since SMB works, I can confirm that the /BT and /Nas_Prog folders are gone. However I still have the same problem, also after rebooting.

I'm running out of ideas and would be more than happy if one of you can give me advice on this...

Re: Cannot login to web interface - NO bittorrent installed anymore

FIXED.

I installed fun plug and found via telnet that web/webs crashes with a segmentation fault when I try to log in, but without meaningful error message:

Code:

/web # ./webs
rm: cannot remove '/tmp/set_ddns_done': No such file or directory
rm: cannot remove '/tmp/set_ddns_error': No such file or directory
rm: cannot remove '/web/ddns_start': No such file or directory
language=ENGLISH
Segmentation fault

Other posts in this forum had problems with a corrupt ddns.conf, but that was fine for me.

I checked for differences between my config files and the ones in /sys/crfs/default and found my sib.conf to be zero bytes. I replaced it and now I can log in again. smile

This forum is a great resource, I hope my post can add to this.
