Is it possible to turn the leds off by software? I am also using a Fritzbox 7270 and here I could turn all leds off with the custom Linux firmware. Both devices stand in the living room and my girl is annoyed by the lights (and the fan unfortunatelly).
I only found a post how to make the leds blink.
Thanks

Do you turn your lights out at home in this way ;o)
The leds are outputs of a µC, if possible I would prefer to to turn them simply off instead off covering them.

I don't think there is a software method to trun off the HardDrive activity LED and the network activity LED. But you can turn OFF the Power LED from the config pages.
I am using duct tape currently to be able to sleep at night!

Tools -> System -> Power LED Control
[not sure about the 321, this is for the 323]

No joy on the 321, that setting doesn't exist on that page.

Try getting the latest firmware - you are using version 1.03 , i think the LED option only came out in version 1.08

I have the 321, and the latest firmware available for it from the dlink site is 1.03. Where can I get 1.08 for it, or is that version only available for the 323?

The DNS321 and the DNS323 use differenct firmware, thus are at different release levels with different options. It does seem a bit strange given the similarity of the hardware although I haven't fully explored what the hardware similarities/differences are.
