I don't know if this is possible, but a lot of smart people read this board, so perhaps someone has a suggestion.
I occasionally need to download a large file that has been posted to a fileshare site like rapidshare or hotfiles. Typically, there is a need to decode a captcha before the download begins. Then the download itself may take several hours to complete.
If it is possible, I would like to initiate a download to the DNS323 that I keep in a backroom at home and transfer the file to my laptop using a thumbdrive at some later time.
Is there some way that I can route the http traffic between the fileshare site and my laptop through the DNS323 and arrange that the download be left on the DNS323 without the file download itself being routed through the laptop? Is there another way to solve this problem?

Hi,
You would be interested in 'PlowShare' (http://code.google.com/p/plowshare/), but it's dependencies (curl, recode, imagemagick, tesseract-ocr, optionally spidermonkey/rhino, aview/libcaca and PerlMagick) are heavy to install it on a DNS323
Take a look at http://code.google.com/p/plowshare/wiki/Readme might be interesting for you...

PS: Since 2010 Oct 28 PlowShare "should be maintained by people who use it" as seen on project's Home Page
