Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

System partially messed up

Hi to all. This morning I changed the HDD in my CH3SNAS and after the boot I got a semi-bricked device.
The NAS is still working but it seems that firmware got corrupted for some strange reason. Now, modifying the fun_plug script (that is still executed) I've got back the telnet access to the device. I inspected the root directory and the most important files: I noticed that the root user was missing at all! I recreated it and tried to launch the web admin (/web/webs) but it crashes (segmentation fault).

So now what I can do? Is it possible to flash a firmware from the command line? (not using a serial cable)

Thank you very much
Pierpaolo

Re: System partially messed up

Ok, I solved my problem: it seems that the mtd1 partition got corrupted. I fixed using

mkfs.minix /dev/mtdblock0
mkfs.minix /dev/mtdblock1

Rebooted, and now I have the web access.

Thx
