do i need to install the squeezed pkg along with the squeezeboxserver pkg? i installed the perl & squeezeboxserver pkg from the extra-packages but it doesnt seem to be running..

Squeezebox Server needs perl, the perl modules, and mysql. it's not as easy to install as using the everything-included squeezecenter funplug.

i see. i didnt install the perl modules, so let me try again...
bingo. works after i installed all the perl modules (from extra-packages). thanks a lot. will see how much this slows down the unit.
edit: strange but it seems to start on rebbot but dies off within a few minutes. dont know if its the size of music library or what. if anyone gets this working good pls post some tips.
