Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

On the D-Link site (http://www.dlink.com/support/gpl/), I only saw sources for v1.08
Also the tarball didn't seem to include the kernel source.
So, any idea where I can get the latest v1.09 GPL sources?
And in particular where can I get the latest 2.6.12 sources including any *patches* or *config* changes that may have been added since the 1.05 firmware version of the 2.6.12 kernel that I have.

Hi
as you ask D-link for it ?

I do have the full(?) source for fw 1.08, but can't access the ftp server right now (firewall at work is blocking ftp).
I GUESS it is ftp://ftp.dlink.com/GPL/DNS-323/
Strange thing though: when building the firmware with the Dlink tools (following the steps in the README), it doesn't use the sources (verified that by changing some files).
Maybe I have to dig a little further.
I also noted that de kernel that is built is smaller than the kernel extracted from the firmware, so I don't know if it's really the full source.

That is basically the *same* link I posted.
BUT
1. it DOESN"T seem to have kernel *sources*
2. It is 1.08 and 1.09 has been out for more than 1/2 a year
I did however use it to build a new uclibc toolchain but it required a fair bit of messing around to get it to compile...

Well, then I don't understand what you mean bij kernel sources ...
In the tgz (500 MB I think) there is a linux.2.6.12.6.tgz with Makefile, .config etc.
The only difference between 1.08 and 1.09 (according to Dlink) is that 1.09 supports some kind of remote storage.
edit:
correct link: ftp://ftp.dlink.com/GPL/DNS-323/

DOH - I am BLIND. I must have looked at the directory listing a dozen times but somehow missed that -- then again maybe 2AM does that to you. But thanks for your persistence in helping me. I can't believe I missed it. WOW
THANKS
